Australian Professional Photography Awards 2012 {Macedon Ranges Award Winning Photographer}

In April, Victoria held its annual state photography awards (Victorian Professional Photographer of the Year awards, or VPPYs).
We have some incredible talent in Australia, and especially in Victoria – not only some of Australia’s best but also world renowned photographers.
All prints are scored out of 100 – Gold Distinction is 95-100, Gold is 90-94, Silver Distinction is 85-89, and Silver is 80-84.

The State awards are then followed by the National awards (Canon Australian Professional Photography Awards or APPAs), held this last weekend in Melbourne.
Emerging photographers such as myself are allowed to submit up to 3 prints, and this weekend out of my 3 entered, I was awarded one silver distinction (family category), one silver (wedding category), a merit (family category) which is slightly below award level.

I am so thrilled and honoured to share my recent award winning images with you from the APPA’s and the VPPY’s!

Thank you to my beautiful clients who generously allowed me to share their images and inspire me during each and every session I have. Also to Mike Selby (wonderful husband), Steve Simmonds and Sarah Black who provided endless assistance, inspiration and encouragement during this daunting process.
